Here are the key points and major allocations in the proposed budget:
Rs 1400 crores allocated for the Rythu Bandhu scheme.
The total estimated amount for the loan waiver scheme is about Rs 6,200 crores. Rs 1,100 crores will be released this month for the same.
Minister allocated Rs 11,054 crores for completing pending irrigation projects.
T Harish Rao increased the Aasara pensions budget from 9,402 crores to Rs 11,758 crores.
Rs 10,000 crores allocated for the development of Greater Hyderabad and its surrounding areas, which include Musi Riverfront development.
Rs 10,421 crores for school education, Rs 1,723 crores for higher education and Rs 2,650 crores fee reimbursement.
Rs 6,186 crores budget allocated for the health department. 232 new basti clinics would be opened in Telangana.
Rs 480 crores for MLA constituency development fund. Each MLA and MLC will get Rs 3 crores a year.
Telangana finance minister allocated Rs 14,416 crores for the power sector (both for completing power projects and power subsidy).
Telangana government allocated Rs 550 crores for the police command control room. Rs 5,000 crores budget for the police department.
For the development of Musi Riverfront and areas under GHMC, the government allocated Rs 10,000 crores.
He also announced that households that consume power up to 101 units will no longer have to pay any charges.
The budget session of the Telangana Assembly and Council began on Friday. Assembly will be in recess on Monday and Tuesday and the session is likely to extend till March 20.
