Telangana Assembly Passes Resolution Against CAA

The Telangana Legislative Assembly on Monday passed a resolution against the CAA, NPR, and the NRC. Telangana became one of those states who have adopted the same policy.
According to the resolution passed, it removes all references to any religion, or any foreign country, given the apprehensions among a large section of people in India.
The main objective of the resolution would be to propose a non-implementation of the National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC) which could result in the exclusion of a large number of people.
Chief ministers K Chandrasekhar Rao opened his views on Telangana and said that as Telangana is known as the youngest state in the country and has been contributing considerably in the nation stats every year, so it’s that much important for the people of Telangana to speak on such issues. He said, "At a time when the world is moving towards breaking down borders, is there a need for such divisive politics in the country?"
KCR exclaimed that more attention should be on farmer's issues, unemployment and access to water. “It is not a Hindu problem or a Muslim problem. It is the country’s problem,” he said
