Telangana Election Results 2023 Updates
At 3:15 PM, KTR expressed his gratitude to the people of Telangana in his first tweet following the BRS party's electoral loss: "Grateful to the people of Telangana for giving @BRSparty two consecutive terms of Government Not saddened over the result today, but surely disappointed as it was not in expected lines for us. But we will take this in our stride as a learning and will bounce back. Congratulations to the Congress party on winning the mandate. Wishing you Good Luck," tweeted KTR.
By 2:50 PM, one of the most unexpected outcomes surfaced. Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy secured victory over both the incoming CM candidate Revanth Reddy and the incumbent CM KCR in Kamareddy. Both Revanth and KCR acknowledged the determination and resilience of this BJP candidate.
At 2 PM, the Telangana Congress has secured two of the youngest MLAs in the state, marking a historic moment. Mynampally Rohith Rao emerged victorious against Padma Reddy in Medak, while Yeshaswini Reddy defeated Errabelli in Palakurthy.
At 1:35 PM, Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao suffered a defeat to the 26-year-old Yeshaswini Reddy of the Congress in Palakurthy, a humbling outcome for the six-time MLA.
By 1:20 PM, Revanth Reddy had clinched victory in Kodangal with a substantial margin of 32,800 votes. He is en route to Gandhi Bhavan and is expected to address the media shortly.
At 12:55 PM, Congress's Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy fulfilled his promise to sweep Khammam district, leading Congress to a 10/10 seat triumph in Khammam.
By 12:45 PM, a connection to Chanchalguda jail surfaced in the Telugu states. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was once incarcerated in Chanchalguda jail over a CBI disproportionate assets case, is now the CM of Andhra Pradesh. Similarly, Revanth Reddy, who was in Chanchalguda jail in a cash-for-vote case, is leading Congress to victory in Telangana.
At 12:30 PM, Telangana witnessed the prospect of a new chief minister as Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar met with Revanth Reddy, who is on track for a comfortable victory. Telangana CM KCR slipped to the third position in Kamareddy, a humiliating result for him.
The first official results revealed victories for Congress in Aswaraopet and Illandu with significant margins. Notably, several BRS ministers, including Errabelli Dayakara Rao, Prashant Reddy, Indrakaaran Reddy, Niranjan Reddy, Jagadish Reddy, Koppula Eswar, and Puvvada Nageswararao, are trailing in their respective constituencies.
In the early counting of postal ballot votes, Telangana CM KCR faced initial setbacks, trailing in both Gajwel and Kamareddy. While he managed to gain a minor lead of 300 postal ballot votes in Gajwel, he continued to trail in Kamareddy, where Revanth Reddy maintained the lead. The postal ballot votes suggest a clear swing in favor of Congress, and the true trend will unfold as the EVM counting, already in progress, progresses further.
