Telugu Non-Resident Indian wins $1 million in Dubai Duty Free

A Telugu non-resident Indian has been added to the list of Indians who have won $1 million as a result of the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire promotion. The draw for the promotion was held at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday.
Karnaiah Mandolla, a 45-year-old native of the town of Tadipatri in the district of Anantapur who works as a software engineer in Dubai, won $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire lottery on 5th October after purchasing a ticket online.
"The money will be saved for his children's education, and a portion will be spent on charitable endeavours," he said.
Karnaih is the 217th Indian national to win $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire promotion since its inception in 1999, and Indian nationals are the most avid ticket purchasers.
