Tension Brews Ahead of AP Elections Over Allegations of Political Interference
With elections in Andhra Pradesh scheduled for the 15th, MP Raghurama Krishnamraju has raised concerns over the electoral schedule and alleged police misconduct. Addressing the media on Tuesday, he expressed worry about potential disruptions to the electoral process, citing instances of police aggression against opposition leaders, including CM Jaganmohan Reddy, YSRCP members, Thirumal Reddy, and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. Krishnamraju emphasized the importance of fair and safe elections, cautioning that any interference could lead to chaos during the polls.
The MP warned that opposition leaders facing intimidation might resort to drastic measures during the elections. He further criticized the alleged politicization of law enforcement, highlighting incidents where police displayed bias by removing Jagan's posters from vehicles and intimidating voters. Krishnamraju urged for swift action to ensure a conducive environment for free and fair elections in Andhra Pradesh.
