Tesla Eyes Andhra Pradesh?

Andhra Pradesh’s IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, is on a mission to bring investments to the state, currently touring the USA to pitch opportunities.

Recently, he met with Tesla executives at their headquarters in Austin, Texas, proposing Anantapur as an ideal location for Tesla’s electric vehicle and battery manufacturing facilities. Lokesh expressed enthusiasm for Andhra Pradesh’s potential as a green energy hub, emphasizing a renewable energy target of 72 GW by 2029.

“Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble CM @ncbn Garu, we’re ready to lead the green energy revolution,” Lokesh tweeted after the meeting with Tesla CFO Vaibhav Taneja. This meeting may hint at future Tesla investments in Andhra Pradesh.
