The BRS blitz in Punjab and Haryana, as charted by KCR
In order to better prepare for the upcoming 2024 elections, BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao will be concentrating his efforts on the states of Punjab and Haryana. These are two of the anticipated stops on his June travel itinerary.
According to insiders, after receiving positive feedback in Maharashtra, KCR has formulated a strategy to expand BRS across India. KCR wants to see how the Telangana model of development fares in Punjab, notwithstanding his cordial relationship with the AAP there. KCR, who was in Nanded to participate in a training camp for BRS employees, promised that reform would start in his home state of Maharashtra. KCR has stated that he will relocate to Punjab and Haryana after the BRS has been stabilised in Maharashtra. He urged party officials to put in a full year's effort for the party before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In preparation for the month-long membership drive on May 21st, the BRS chairman advised the party officials to be action-oriented, persistent in their efforts, and reach out to the people.
He claimed that the Telangana growth model was the most sought-after in the country today and that the BR's government had succeeded where previous governments had failed. KCR pledged that his party would continue to fight for a fair settlement for the farmers. The ruling political parties had promised much but delivered little. To put an end to seventy years of empty rhetoric, the power lies squarely in the hands of the people.
