The BRS netas compete to throw KTR's birthday party in style
The leaders of the governing party fought against one another on Monday to commemorate the 47th birthday of BRS working president KT Rama Rao by handing out tomatoes, helmets, showing a 3D movie, and building giant flexis.
While the BRS leader got birthday greetings from a number of celebrities, including actors Sonu Sood, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, and K Chiranjeevi, party officials and activists came up with creative methods to demonstrate their support for Rao. To celebrate the occasion, the party's MPs planted a seedling at Delhi's Telangana Bhavan. To honor the occasion, the party leaders from Warangal and Parsigutta in the city gave tomatoes to ladies. BRS leader Rajanala Srihari, who previously made headlines for giving out chicken and alcohol to celebrate the party's entrance into national politics, came up with a novel idea to give away a basket of tomatoes as part of the "Gift a Smile" project, but exclusively to women. A long queue formed at the distribution center due to the price of tomatoes, which is Rs 150/kg.
KTR's accomplishments were showcased on a 12-foot-high by 45-foot-wide bus by party head Alishetty Arvind. He displayed his many successes, such as the T Hub, Durgam Cheruvu flyover, T-Works, and other municipal flyovers, on both sides of the car. The bus, which had been carefully painted, was left at Secretariat; it would go around the city for 10 days.
