The Polling Drops In Second Phase
The ongoing Lok Sabha elections have entered in the second phase and already it has seemed that the public enthusiasm for voting is already lowered down. Even though the drop is not much still the count has gone down a few points.
The first phase of Lok Sabha elections was held for 91 seats and the percent of voting was about 70.6%, which was fairly enough. However, when the second phase started for 95 Seats across 12 states the count was 67.7%. Even if the counting of the second phase of the year 2014 was to be considered where the counting was 69.5%, there is surely a drop in the voting.
While the exact reason is not known, the number has lowered for sure. While this may be a matter of concern to dome Parties while others are confident about their positions.
The main thing is that the voting is going on very peacefully apart from a few incidents, where EMVs were damaged in West Bengal and Manipur.
