The court told Chandrababu Naidu that he couldn't go to rallies or meetings until December 8.
Naidu's four-week temporary medical bail in the case was changed into absolute bail by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The former chief minister was then freed on regular bail because of his age, illnesses related to getting older, inability to fly, and other factors.
It said that the interim bail terms, which include not talking about the scam case in public or holding or attending public protests and meetings, would stay in place until November 28. From November 29, they will be loosened.
In order to get the high court's decision thrown out, the state government said that the accused, Naidu, is a "important person" who "has already made sure that two of his key associates, including a government worker, have fled the country."
The Andhra Pradesh High Court released Mr. Naidu on bail on November 20. The court said that the power to release someone on bail should be used wisely and with kindness.
He was arrested on September 9 and given medical bail until October 31. This bail has now been made permanent.
Mr. Naidu is accused of stealing money from the Skill Development Corporation, which is said to have cost the state government more than ₹300 crore.
The top court did not grant Naidu temporary bail on October 17 and said it would rule on his appeal of the high court's decision not to dismiss the FIR against him in the skill development corporation scam case.
