There will be No Bandh, Mamata’s Warning to Left Front
10 central trade unions have called a 48-hour nationwide strike from Tuesday against the "anti-people" policies of the centre.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the strike would have no impact on the state.
“I do not want to spend a single word on this. In West Bengal, we have taken a stand of not supporting any bandh. Enough is enough. In the last 34 years, they (Left Front) have destroyed the state by calling a bandh. There will be no bandh”, she said.
The state govt announced they won’t sanction any leaves from Monday to Thursday. Buses, cabs, and other transporters have decided to work normally.
Police warned the people who will try to disrupt normal life will be arrested. They assured all shops, offices, and marketplaces will be operated normally.
Higher officials also said extra police personnel would be deployed in and around the city.
