Timely Help Saves Infant’s Life, Family Grateful to Minister Lokesh
A tribal family from Jaggayyapet in NTR district expressed heartfelt gratitude to IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh for his swift action in saving their 14-day-old baby boy.
Chadala Venkata Maheswara Rao, the baby's father, reached out to Lokesh during the Praja Darbar on September 28, seeking urgent financial assistance for his newborn’s treatment. The baby had been showing signs of poor appetite, and medical tests revealed a concerning drop in blood platelets.
Doctors advised immediate advanced care in Vijayawada, but the mounting medical costs at a private hospital left Maheswara Rao, who was already struggling financially, feeling hopeless. Upon learning of the situation, Minister Lokesh wasted no time in arranging aid through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), ensuring that the baby received critical, life-saving treatment.
After spending 14 days in intensive care, the baby made a full recovery and was discharged. The relieved family returned to the Praja Darbar on Wednesday, where they personally thanked Lokesh for his support. The Minister reassured them that the government would continue to offer assistance for any future needs.
