Traders Okay With Implementation Of GST, Demonetization
The fourth phase of ongoing Lok Sabah election is now over and the fifth phase will continue from 6th May, with the results on 23rd May. While the fifth phase will be in Bihar, one of the seven phases will be in Chandani Chowk Delhi, where most of the traders reside and will vote on 12th May.
The Chandani Chowk constituency is currently represented by BJP leader Harsh Vardhan, who had defeated Congress leader Kapil Sibal in the last election. The Congress party who is looking up for a comeback, after being swept from the 2014 election, has fielded Aggarwal, a local resident of the busy trading hub.
During the campaigns, Aggarwal promised to look after the problems, which are faced by the traders, after the implementation of GST tax and during the phase of demonetization. He also promised to look after the commercial sealing ordered by the Supreme Court.
Now the issue to the Congress is, even though the trader community is a bit upset because of the double blast of GST and demonetization, they are still willing to go with BJP, for the main reason of stability.
