Tragic Accident Claims Life of BRS MLA G Lasya Nanditha
Telangana's political landscape was shaken by the tragic demise of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA G Lasya Nanditha in a road accident in Sangareddy district’s Aminpur mandal. The 37-year-old legislator, representing Secundarabad Cantonment, was traveling in a Maruti XL6 SUV on the Patancheru Outer Ring Road when the driver lost control and collided with a divider. Both Nanditha and the driver sustained severe injuries, with Nanditha tragically pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The driver is undergoing treatment for critical injuries.
Born in Hyderabad in 1986, Nanditha had a decade-long political career, serving as a corporator in the Kavadiguda ward before winning the 2023 Telangana Assembly polls. Telangana CM Revanth Reddy extended condolences, recalling his close ties with Nanditha's late father. The accident's cause is under investigation, with initial suspicions of driver fatigue.
Nanditha's untimely demise leaves a void in Telangana's political landscape, her legacy of public service enduring despite the tragic end. Her dedication to her constituency and her father's political legacy will be remembered, as political leaders and constituents mourn the loss of a promising leader.
