US Visa: B1/B2 Interview Waiver Appointment Slots Opened

The US embassy in India informed us that they had opened new slots for B1/B2 visa interview waivers for who are eligible. These slots are available in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
The B-1/B-2 visitor visa is for people temporarily traveling to the US for business (B-1), pleasure, or medical treatment (B-2).
On Twitter US Embassy in India wrote, "Looking for a B1/B2 interview waiver (dropbox) visa appointment? Good news! We have opened several B1/B2 interview waiver appointments in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai for the coming month. Book now in time for holiday travel."
According to reports, the recent wait time for the US Visa interview waiver appointments is 297 in Mumbai, 233 days in Delhi, and 171 days in Chennai. For the first time, US business (B-1) and tourist (B-2) visa applicants have gone up to 3 years, the US State Department said on Tuesday.
Eligibility: Those renewing any visa (including B1/B2 visas) within 48 months of expiration can opt for the interview waiver option.
Students get top priority for visa interview waivers, especially during the admission session. The US has informed us that skilled personnels are next on the speed up list, followed by repeat B1/B2 visa seekers (whose visas expired within 4 years of application that now makes them eligible for interview waiver) and crew.
