Uncertain Fate for TDP and BJP in AP
In current elections for 2019, TDP had to face big defeat against YSRCP. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who headed YSRCP for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 for AP managed to gain confidence for 151 seats in Assembly polls, out of 175 total. Apart from this, he also managed to gain confidence by claiming 22 seats out of 25 for AP state Lok Sabha.
It has also been a bad experienced for TDP as they had to face defeat against YSRCP forcing them to claim only for 23 Assembly seats along with limited 3 seats for Lok Sabha.
With this in mind, voters have been concerned about TDPs fate for upcoming Lok Sabha year, as they fear that it may completely be pushed out of power statewide.
It is also expected that statewide, TDP will be forced to lose its control and hold on local voters. This condition could further create a big vacuum for upcoming 2024 elections in the state.
A statement was made by BJP right after the results declared, expressing their concerns over the uncertain fate of TDP in AP. The senior leaders in Rajya Sabha including G V L Narasimha Rao have also expressed his gratitude for the TDPs fate.
It is also expected that BJP has better chances to emerge as Fully functional party statewide after TDPs defeat. A similar statement was also made by other senior leaders including Chandrababu Naidu, who has lost all his patience to retain the lost confidence in his party.
He also stated that it may not be an easy task, to help TDP gain back its power by 2024 elections in the state.
