Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Tests Coronavirus Positive

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, on Tuesday tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors.
The Union minister, later on Tuesday took to Twitter to share the news and wrote, “After noticing the symptoms, I got myself tested for COVID-19. The report is positive. I am healthy but, on the advice of doctors, I have hospitalised myself”.
Pradhan is admitted to the Medanta Hospital. As per the sources, Pradhan had last week met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was admitted to Medanta on August 2 after testing positive of coronavirus. His staff too had earlier tested positive and has been isolation since.
Meanwhile, minister including Narendra Modi have been advised to get their tests done as they were recently present at the meeting which was also attended by Amit Shah. Among others, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman were also present.
However, Dharmendra Pradhan was not at that meeting but it is believed he did meet the Home Minister at a later date. Also, the Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, BS Yediyurappa and Shivraj Singh Chouhan respectively, are also COVID-19-positive, as is Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
