Industries Minister KT Rama Rao emphasised the need of equally distributing the nation's wealth across all segments, saying lawmakers should concentrate on economics rather than politics.

In his remarks at the NHRD's "Decode The Future- The National Conference" on Thursday, he said that India was perpetually in an election cycle and that politicians were always more concerned with winning elections than with generating wealth for future generations.

He noted that despite having the largest population in the world, a small number of people controlled the majority of the country's wealth.

Rama Rao remarked, "We need to consider if the leadership of our country is providing us the expectations to be a 25 trillion economy, in addition to how the money can be dispersed evenly among all parts.
