12 Kg Rice, Rs 500 Per Migrant Labour In Telangana

As Thousands of migrant workers are left to fate in Telangana due to no work and income, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has promised to give 12 kg of rice free and Rs 500 per person to cope up in these tough times.
“The State government considers you as partners in the development process of the State, and is willing to spend any amount to make your stay comfortable,” the Chief Minister said.
He directed the officials to provide all the help to the workers and if necessary provide them accommodation in function halls while taking all precautions to check the spread of coronavirus.
Rao also appealed to the migrant workers not to leave the state during the coronavirus lockdown and don’t create panic. He also assured that nobody, be a citizen of Telangana or an outsider, will be left to starve in the state.
The majority of the workers are in Hyderabad and surrounding districts of Ranga Reddy and Medchal. There are also many workers in Peddapalli, Khammam, Ramagundam and other places in the state.
Meanwhile, Former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir has criticized KCR for he failed his earlier promise of delivering a supply of 12 kg free rice and ₹ 1500 each to nearly 87 lakh white ration cardholders.
