20% Remuneration Cut For Tollywood Actors And Technicians

The Coronavirus pandemic has changed the lives of many, especially, the lives of cine industry people. Many movies have been postponed while some have been released on OTT platforms. However, many actors are doing charity works during this tough time to help poor people.
Now, the MAA- Movie Artiste’s Association and the Active Telugu Film Producers’ Guild announced that Telugu actors and technicians will see a 20 percent pay cut in their remunerations. The Movie Artistes Association and Telugu producers guild have said that a 20 percent reduction on remuneration cut is for artists who charge more than Rs 20,000 a day and technicians who charge more than Rs 5 lakh a film.
Many actors voluntarily agreed for a pay cut long back and donated a lot of amount for those who are in need. Actors like Sonu Sood and Vijay Devarakonda did their best to contribute to the needy. The shootings of the films have been started already. However, the theatres are yet to be opened.
There are high chances that a huge number of people will get affected by COVID19. So, people too are not interested in watching films in theatres. However, producers, directors, and actors want the theatres to get opened as soon as possible.
