4th Accused In The Hyderabad Gang Rape Is Believed To Be The Son Of A Telangana Politician

A teenager believed to be the son of a Telangana politician from Sangareddy district was arrested for his alleged involvement in the gang rape of a 17-year-old in Hyderabad.
After a 5-day search, police seized the car, an Innova, and forensic experts collected samples on Sunday amid allegations that evidence had been tampered with to protect the 5 boys accused of raping the girl.
The 5 boys belong to affluent and influential families. The teenager arrested Sunday is the 4th suspect. Another politician's son, 17, and 2 of his friends were rounded up over the past 2 days. The 5th accused is still at large. Police are expected to move to court Monday to seek custody of all the arrested quartets.
On May 28, the youngsters picked up the girl from an upscale pub in Jubilee Hills, took her to a bakery in Banjara Hills, and then took her to an isolated spot in the neighbourhood where they turned around and raped her. Cctv footage shows the girl getting into 2 cars - a Mercedes Benz outside the pub and an Innova at the bakery.
She was raped allegedly in the Innova that was seized on Saturday from a farmhouse in Moinabad, belonging to a person with links to a Hyderabad-based party.
However, it is suspected that evidence, both inside and outside the car, has been tampered with either by the accused or by people known to them before police traced it.
Experts collected samples from the vehicle to determine if she had been abused by all five people inside. We collected hair strands, fingerprints, and some other samples from the car. An MLA's son was also being investigated by police, although he was initially cleared of any wrongdoing. He was seen with the girl in the Benz, but he didn't get into the Innova, in which the youngsters took the girl to an isolated place and raped her.
