65 seats were sold by Revanth Reddy for Rs 600 crores.
Within hours of the initial list of Congress candidates for the Telangana Assembly elections being announced, the unhappy leaders who did not receive tickets were agitating at Gandhi Bhavan. A large number of leaders who were expecting a ticket resigned.
Muslim leaders demonstrated in front of Gandhi Bhavan against the allocation of tickets to non-Muslim leaders in the constituencies of Bahadurpura, Chandrayanagutta, and Yakutpura, where the voter population is over seventy percent Muslim. Revanth, the president of the Congress, charged that the party was supporting the RSS agenda and stifling Muslim leadership.
They said that by offering a ticket to a BC candidate in constituencies where the majority of voters are Muslims, Revanth Reddy was attempting to provide a walkover to the MIM party. Because Revanth Reddy began his political career with the RSS, they accused him of discriminating against Muslim leaders by refusing them tickets.
Revanth is accused of providing tickets to non-Muslims in order to facilitate MIM's victory. Revanth Reddy, the president of the TPCC, has been the target of MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi and his brother, MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, over the past few days. Revanth Reddy is accused of giving non-Muslim leaders tickets in Chandrayanagutta.
Outraged that the Muslim elders of Hyderabad Old Town did not back Revanth Reddy when he was verbally insulted by the Owaisi brothers, they targeted the constituencies of Yakutpura and Bahadurpura.
Conversely, at the Gun Park Martyrs Stupam, TPCC Secretary Vijay Kumar and his allies voiced concerns, claiming that TPCC President Revanth Reddy had sold a Gadwal ticket for 10 crores and five acres of land. They held signs that read, "Note for vote today, note for seat today," as they demonstrated against Revanth Reddy.
Revanth Reddy reportedly sold 65 seats for 600 crores, according to Kuruva Vijay Kumar. Revanth was accused by them of discriminating against Telangana activists by refusing to provide them tickets.
They accused a number of party leaders of giving tickets to party novices instead of to members who have put in a lot of effort over a long period of time.
