A 29-year-old Indian is running for Texas Commissioner.
Indian-American Taral Patel is only 29 years old but has already announced that he wants to run for Fort Bend County Commissioner for Precinct 3 in Texas. Patel used to be the Fort Bend County Judge's chief of staff. He will run as a Democrat for the spot held for a long time by Andy Meyers, a Republican.
In 2016, Patel got his BA in government from the University of Texas at Austin. He also worked as a law clerk for the Department of Justice Criminal Division, where he helped fight corruption, bribes, and other crimes at different levels.
He is known for being well-connected in many places in the US and for having key foreign partners who help him connect with the right people and get good results for everyone. Patel has been in charge of Fort Bend County during many floods, the Covid-19 pandemic, Winter Storm Uri, power outages, droughts, and other big disasters.
Taral Patel is also important to the White House Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (WHAANHPI) Committee. The primary election for the Democrats will be on March 5, 2024.
