Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, stated on Twitter in response to the event, saying, "I condemn the violent disorder and vandalism that took place at the Indian High Commission today." (Sunday). This kind of behaviour has no place in our community.
He also said that the Met had opened an inquiry.
It was a disgraceful and completely unacceptable incident, according to British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis.
