A1 Express Movie Review

Talented Actor, Sundeep Kishan is in great need of a commercial hit and his latest outing A1 Express is the remake of Tamil movie, Natpe Thunai which was a decent hit. Let us see if the film, which is being promoted as the first Tollywood film based on the sport of Hockey lives up to the expectations or not.

Story:
Sundeep Naidu (Sundeep) is a former Team India U21 player, he puts his career at risk after the demise of his close friend. After that he gets himself involved in a fraud pertaining to the illegal acquisition of iconic Chiti Babu ground in Yaanam. In the process, he meets Lavanya (Lavanya Tripathi) and fall in love with her. Can he and the head coach at Chitti Babu ground, Murali Sharma fight against the illegal acquisition?
Performance:
Sundeep essays the role of a hockey player in the movie, he puts in his best efforts to do justice to the role. The actor has developed a great physique and carries the mannerisms of an athlete. Female lead, Lavanya Tripathi is also seen as a hockey player in the film and her character has tomboy-ish shades. Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna essays brief roles yet very crucial roles and they do full justice to their characters.
Technical Aspects:
Though it is a remade film, the film only has a few similarities to that of original version. A few commercial scenes were included into the script. The flashback part packs a punch but the succeeding scenes. The climax portion is good but it fails to sustain the required emotion. The director Dennis Jeevan has choosen the very best from his lead cast. Background music of Hip Hop Tamizha is very impressive. Cinematography is under par and there are few blurry shots in the movie. Editing is crisp.
