AP Government to Distribute Free Gas Cylinders Under New Scheme
The AP coalition government is making strides toward fulfilling its election promises under the "Super Six" initiative. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently announced the rollout of a scheme that will provide free gas cylinders to the poor starting from the Diwali festival. This announcement came during the NDA legislative party meeting, where the CM confirmed the launch of the much-anticipated program.
As part of the Mahashakti scheme, eligible ration card holders will receive three free cooking gas cylinders annually. The coalition had pledged this initiative in its election manifesto, aiming to ease the burden on low-income households.
The NDA legislative party meeting, chaired by CM Chandrababu Naidu, took place at the CK Convention Center in Mangalagiri. In attendance were Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, BJP AP President Purandeshwari, ministers, MLAs, and alliance leaders. During the meeting, the NDA government outlined its 100-day plan, which includes door-to-door outreach by MLAs from the 20th to the 26th of this month to communicate the progress of the government’s initiatives. The effort is branded under the campaign "This is a Good Government."
Criticism and Development Plans:
Chandrababu Naidu also criticized the previous YCP government, highlighting their failure to secure the Visakhapatnam railway zone over the past five years. He reassured that the current coalition government had cleared the necessary land, paving the way for the project's commencement.
Furthermore, CM Naidu expressed concern over past actions that allegedly tarnished the sanctity of Tirumala. He accused the previous administration of compromising the quality of offerings, specifically pointing to the use of animal oil instead of ghee in the preparation of the revered Tirumala Laddu. He assured that under the current government, pure ghee is now being used, and efforts are being made to restore and protect the sanctity of Tirumala.
The CM also addressed allegations related to the Visakha Steel Plant, dismissing the YCP's accusations as false propaganda. He emphasized that the coalition government is dedicated to saving the steel plant, just as they did in the past. He also outlined the government’s ambitious goal of securing Rs. 10 lakh crore in investments for the green energy sector, aiming to generate employment for 7.5 lakh people over the next five years.
