AP Ministers Explore Tata Digital Nerve Centre to Enhance State Healthcare
A delegation from the Andhra Pradesh government, led by IT and Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh and Health Minister Y. Satya Kumar, visited the Tata Digital Nerve Centre (DiNC) in Kolar, Karnataka, on Monday, December 16.
The Tata Digital Nerve Centre, an innovative delivery model by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), connects, communicates, and coordinates healthcare delivery through people, infrastructure, and a robust digital platform.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Vemgal Primary Health Centre (PHC) and the Health and Wellness Centre at Shettihalli, both powered by DiNC. Emphasizing the importance of adopting innovative healthcare models, Mr. Lokesh stated that such advancements could significantly improve public health systems in Andhra Pradesh.
Girish Krishnamurthy, MD of Tata MD (Medical & Diagnostics) Limited, presented DiNC’s services and demonstrated its impact on government health programs in Karnataka. Live demonstrations showcased DiNC’s applications in reproductive and child health, non-communicable disease management, and mental health coordination.
An official release from the Andhra Pradesh government highlighted the visit as a step toward adopting cutting-edge technologies to transform the State’s public healthcare system. The insights gained during the visit are expected to guide the development of advanced, tech-enabled healthcare initiatives in Andhra Pradesh, ensuring better healthcare access and outcomes for its citizens.
Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board CEO C.M. Saikanth Varma and other senior officials accompanied the Ministers during the visit.
