AP and Telangana Elections Date Confirmed!
After a long wait, Election Commission revealed the dates of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana elections on Sunday.
The assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will be held on April 11. The term of the Andhra assembly will come to an end on June 18.
The results will be announced on May 23rd. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced the schedule at a press conference in Vigyan Bhavan.
Voting will be held in seven phases across the country. The phase-wise details are below:
Phase 1:
- Polling Date: 11th April
- 91 constituencies -20 states
Phase 2:
- Polling Date: 18th April
- 97 constituencies- 13 states
Phase 3:
- Polling Date: 23rd April
- 115 constituencies-14 states
Phase 4:
- Date of polling: 29th April
- 71 constituencies-9 states
Phase 5:
- Date of polling: 6th May
- 51 constituencies- 7 states
Phase 6:
- Date of Polling: 12th May
- 59 constituencies-7 states
Phase 7:
- Date of Polling: 19th May
- 59 constituencies -8 states
