Adipursh: Prabhas To Join Movie Set On Next Week

Adipurush, an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, will feature Baahubali fame Prabhas in the lead role, whereas Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan will play a villain. The announcement regarding Adipurush was made in mid-August last year. In September, it was announced that Saif Ali Khan would play the principal antagonist in the movie, Lankesh, and Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon will be seen as goddess Sita in this high-budget pan-India project.
As per the latest update in Tollywood, the stage is all set for hero Prabhas to join the team of his first straight Bollywood movie, Adipurush.
If the latest reports to believe, the hero will kick-start shooting for his part with an action sequence in the first week of March in Mumbai. Currently, Prabhas is training hard to build a bulky body for his role in Om Raut’s directorial venture Adipurush.
Saif Ali Khan and the movie’s director Om Raut have previously worked together in the historic film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Saif Ali Khan played the villain there too, playing the role of Mughal general, Uday Bhan Rathod. Reacting to the news of Saif Ali Khan playing Ravana in Adipurush, Prabhas had said, “I am very excited about working with a talented actor like Saif Ali Khan.”
The film Adipurush will be made on a whopping budget of Rs 400 Cr, and a considerable amount of the money will be spent on VFX.
