After Latha, One More Legendary Singer Is No More

Popular music composer and singer Bappi Lahiri, who popularized disco music in India in the year 80s and 90s, died at Mumbai's private Hospital today. The singer was 69. The medical experts stated that Lahiri had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday. However, his health deteriorated on Tuesday and his family called for a doctor and then he was brought to the hospital and had multiple health issues. Sadly, died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight.

Bappi Lahiri has delivered many hit songs in several movies of the late 1970s-80s such as Chalte Chalte, Disco Dancer, and Sharaabi, and his last Bollywood song titled Bhankas was for the 2020 movie 'Baaghi 3'.

The singer's last appearance on the screen was with Bollywood star Salman Khan on a reality show Bigg Boss 15, where the singer was promoting his grandson Swastik's new song 'Baccha Party'.

In April 2021, Bappi had been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after testing positive for Covid 19 and recovered after a few days.
