After the Gambhir incident, Kohli posts a cryptic "truth" message.
After Monday's IPL 2023 match between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli again found himself the center of attention, this time due to his heated exchange with Gautam Gambhir.
After the game, the two got into a heated argument that required the intervention of players from both teams to break up. After RCB won a low-scoring thriller against LSG by 18 runs, the incident occurred. Players from both teams saw Gambhir and Kohli arguing, and they intervened. After one of the LSG players started talking to Kohli, Gambhir yanked him away.
Social media videos show Kohli and Gambhir arguing and an animated LSF coach, clearly upset by something the captain said or did, being restrained by LSG players from charging at his former teammate and fellow Indian.
Meanwhile, Kohli posted a mysterious message to his social media accounts. His source was the Roman Emperor and philosopher Marcus Aurelius, who reigned from 161 to 180 AD.
The ex-captain wrote on his Instagram tale, "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is an interpretation, not the absolute truth.
Earlier, during the post-match handshake, Kohli and LSG fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq got into a heated exchange.
However, both Kohli and Gambhir were fined the maximum amount of their match fees (100%) for violating the IPL Code of Conduct, while LSG bowler Naveen was fined 50% of his match fees (50%) for the same offence.
