Agent begins as a flop at the box office.

Agent, Akhil Akkineni's much-touted film, has started on a dismal note at the box office, with shockingly poor revenues across the board. The film apparently grossed Rs 7 crores on its first day, which is far too little for a mid-level talent like Akhil. Akhil's dreams of breaking into the big leagues and scoring his first real significant box office hit were mainly reliant on Agent, which failed like anything now.
Agent will be remembered as one of the most expensive disasters in Telugu film, with an extremely low investment-return ratio. The film could only go downhill over the weekend, with early morning shows on the second day reporting deficits. Perhaps it is time for Akhil to reflect and pay closer attention to his script selection and director choices in the future.
