Amaravati Stripped Of Andhra Pradesh Capital Status

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and the leader of YRSCP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,
Jagan Mohan Reddy chaired a meeting at 9 am at the state secretariat on Monday and discussed the three capitals idea. The Cabinet approved the government’s decision over the three capitals issue.
The ruling YSR government plans to set up a legislative capital in Amaravati, executive/secretariat in Visakhapatnam and judicial capital in Kurnool.
The YSRCP government has a majority of 151 in the 175-member Assembly. They also won last year’s elections and TDP had lost the assembly elections and much favor went in the hands of Jagan Mohan Reddy. TDP ended up with just 23 seats in the 175-member House.
