Amit Shah examines the IPS probationers' passing parade in Hyderabad
On Friday in Hyderabad, Telangana, Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the passing-out parade of the 75th cohort of probationers from the Indian Police Service (IPS) at SardarVallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA).
The probationers will be addressed by the Home Minister following today's ceremonial march.
Amit Garg, director of the Academy, disclosed at an earlier press conference on Wednesday that the parade will be attended by 175 officer trainees in total, of which 155 are IPS officer trainees and 20 are foreign officer trainees.
Additionally, he stated that of the 155 IPS officer candidates, 32 are female.
He added that six foreign officer trainees are from Bhutan, five are from the Maldives, five are from Nepal, and four are from the Mauritius police.
