Review: 3.5/5.0
In the web series Rana Naidu, Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati played on-screen roles for the first time. This series is directed by Karan Anshuman and Supern Verma and is based on the American drama series Ray Donovan. In this case, it was Netflix who made the series available. Is Venkatesh and Rana's web series any good? You'll have to read on to find out how successful their OTT launch was.
In this tale, Rana Naidu (Rana) is the hero who comes to the aid of Mumbai's A-listers in times of crisis. He has a wonderful family life with his wife and kids. He is also the older sibling to Tejnaidu (Sushant Singh) and Jaffanaidu (Abhishek Banerjee). They don't follow Rana Naidu's way of life. After 15 years behind bars, Rana Naidu's dad Naga Naidu (Venkatesh), is freed. It has not gone over well with Rana Naidu that his father has been released from prison. His feelings for him are instantaneous. He grew to dislike the title of "father" even. Why is that, exactly? Who falsely convicted Naga Naidu and put him in jail? When Rana Naidu has trouble controlling the notorious gangster Surya (Ashish Vidyarthi), how does Naga Naidu help? The rest of the story focuses on how Rana Naidu rescued his loved ones from the gangster's grasp.

Adjusting for Pleasure in the Revision Phase
Scandalous Language
Rana Daggubati gives a fantastic performance as the Mumbai-based fixer Rana Naidu. Naidu is responsible for eradicating the sleaziest rumors surrounding the city's most famous faces. He's very good at what he does. Changes are made to Venkatesh's appearance. Venkatesh's portrayal of a character with grey shades and foul language will shock audiences. The Salt and Pepper style has given him a fresh approach to his mannerisms and how he delivers his lines. Venkatesh's ability to play various roles with conviction is fully displayed in this series. That starring part goes to Surveen Chawla. Her role as Rana's wife requires her to excel, and she does so with flying colors. Played by Abhishek Banerjee, Jaffa is a good lead. Casting Ashish Vidyarthi as the bad guy is parred for the course. The remaining cast members also do a fine job in their respective roles.
Technically, Rana Naidu doesn't have much to say; he is a straightforward family saga set against a bleak criminal landscape. The quality of production is high. John Stewart provides some terrific music for the climax, and the score overall is excellent. Jayakrishna Gummadi did a decent job behind the camera. The Telugu dub is fantastic. With so little action, the show seems like it could be more interesting. Therefore, more work could have been done by the editing staff. The script is dull.
The analysis is straightforward: a son hates his father, and the father tries to teach him a lesson. The introduction of Rana's character as a person who resolves the issues of Bollywood stars was a pivotal scene for the show's creators, as it sparked widespread interest in the show. After that, we see Naga Naidu finally get out of jail and reunite with his sons in the premiere's opening scene. That's where this episode's real story begins, with Venkatesh and Rana's meeting. The series follows Rana Naidu as he navigates the challenges of fame while dealing with the challenges posed by his famous father, Naga, who his son has imprisoned.
