Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu Announces Aid for Harassed Kakinada Resident
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh and a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 for Arudhra, a resident of Kakinada who allegedly faced harassment from the previous YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government.
Arudhra, accompanied by her daughter Sailakshmi Chandra, met the Chief Minister at the Amaravathi Secretariat on Friday. According to a statement from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), as reported by the Times of India, Arudhra recounted her ordeal of harassment under the former regime and emphasized her daughter's severe health issues.
The TDP stated via ANI, "CM Chandrababu Naidu announced Rs 5 lakh financial assistance and a Rs 10,000 monthly pension for Arudhra from Kakinada, whose daughter suffers from serious spinal issues. Mrs. Arudhra faced harassment by the previous Andhra Pradesh government." Arudhra's daughter, Sailakshmi Chandra, has severe backbone problems requiring significant medical attention and financial resources. Arudhra claimed her troubles began when she attempted to sell her property to cover these expenses, leading to harassment from local leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP).
Arudhra further explained that she approached the court to facilitate the sale of her land in Amalapuram to meet her financial and medical needs. Despite her legal efforts, she faced continuous pressure and harassment, which significantly impacted her and her daughter's well-being.
In response to Arudhra's plight, CM Naidu expressed his commitment to ensuring justice and support for those wronged by the previous administration.
