Andhra Pradesh Partners with Google to Boost AI-Driven Services and Skills Development
The Andhra Pradesh government signed a significant agreement with Google on December 5, 2024, to advance Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based solutions across various sectors. The collaboration will focus on providing training in AI-related services for industries, integrating AI and Machine Learning technologies into healthcare and environmental sustainability solutions, and organizing skill development programs in schools and colleges statewide.
The agreement was signed at the Secretariat by S. Suresh Kumar, Secretary of Real-Time Governance, and Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice-President of Google Cloud India, in the presence of Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh. Highlighting the initiative, Mr. Lokesh emphasized that the State's core policy revolves around improving ease of living by delivering services efficiently through cutting-edge technology.
Senior officials, including Secretary of Industries and Commerce N. Yuvaraj, CEO of the A.P. Economic Development Board C.M. Saikanth Varma, CEO of Real-Time Governance Society K. Dinesh Kumar, and Secretary of CMO Kartikeya Mishra, were also present at the event.
This partnership marks a strategic step towards transforming Andhra Pradesh into a tech-driven state, leveraging AI to enhance public services and industry growth. The inclusion of AI skill training in educational institutions aims to empower students with future-ready skills, aligning with the government’s vision of integrating technology into daily governance and development.
By harnessing AI’s potential, Andhra Pradesh aims to set a benchmark in innovation, sustainability, and inclusive progress.
