Another "Biggie" has left the AP.
Many industries in Andhra Pradesh have shown unhappiness with the Jagan government's policies by leaving the state. As a consequence, several businesses, including Foxconn and Amara Raja, have decided to build new facilities in states nearby like Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Foxconn and the Tamil Nadu government have agreed to create a new facility with a significant investment of Rs. 1600 crores, while Amara Raja has taken the initiative to establish a second plant in Telangana. Due to their growth efforts being diverted to neighboring states, both of these companies, which were once situated in the combined Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, are now experiencing substantial losses in terms of employment and prospects.
Government policies have come under fire from critics in the business community for being the cause of this flight. They contend that the YSRCP administration should have taken the initiative to provide the favorable circumstances and required subsidies to promote the growth of industries. Instead, they say, they did not.
In contrast, the former TDP administration's Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, made a concerted effort to persuade businesses like Foxconn to locate their factories in the Andhra Pradesh district of Chittoor.
Over 10,000 adolescents in the state have lost their employment as a consequence of the industry leaving. Even the local public representatives struggled to properly handle this problem since the government did not take enough action.
The employment crisis in Andhra Pradesh has become worse as a result of neighboring states like Telangana and Tamil Nadu capitalizing on the situation and luring these businesses to establish operations in their states.
