Another Veteran Actor Chalapathi Rao Passes Away

Even before the death of Kaikala Satyanarayana is not forgotten, yet another tragedy took place in the industry. Renowned veteran actor Chalapathi Rao passed away due to cardiac arrest last night and he was 79.

He was staying at his son Ravi Babu’s house in MLA Colony, Banjara Hills.

He informed the media that Mr Rao’s body will be kept at the former’s residence till noon today for the visit of his fans and from 3 pm his body will be kept in the freezer of Film Nagar’s Maha Prasthanam and his final rites will take place when his daughter returns from US.

Born in 1944, the actor made his movie debut in 1966 with Goodachari starring superstar Krishna. The actor worked with three generations of heroes from the legendary NT Rama Rao to Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, among others.
