Apple to reward 14 year old boy who discovered FaceTime security bug
Apple's FaceTime security bug which was was first revealed and reported by a 14-year-old boy will be rewarded as mentioned by Apple.
The FaceTime security bug, allowed people to see and hear each other even when the call was not received. The 14-year-old had informed his mother about the bug who then tweeted about the bug to apple. Initially, Apple did not acknowledge it and did not respond however now the tech giant has officially recognized Grant Thompson of Catalina Foothills High School as the discoverer of the fault.
Apple said that it would be compensating the Thompson family for the discovery. Although the company did not announce how much the Thompson family would be rewarded, it did reveal that it would also make an additional gift to fund Grant Thompson’s tuition.
