BJP Lashes Out on Kamal Nath for Suspending Vande Mataram on Jan 1st
It is a practice for the past 13 years that government officials singing Vande Mataram on the first day of every month before starting their work.
This was started by the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the first time.
But now, Kamal Nath-led Congress government in Madhya Pradesh suspending it raised anger in BJP leaders.
The BJP said that ending 13 years practice is “unfortunate”. Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that it was unfortunate that the new Congress government has ended this tradition.
“I demand that it should be reintroduced, if the government fails to do that, I will sing Vande Mataram "with Patriots" at the Vallabh Bhavan (Secretariat)”, he said.
Rubbishing everything Kamal Nath said that they didn't decide to end the practice of singing Vande Mataram but it will be introduced in a new form.
