BJP's Big Telangana Plan despite KCR's Early Polls Push
In Telangana, where elections are coming up later this year, the top leaders of the BJP will hold rallies with a lot of people and a lot of noise for the next month in all 119 assembly constituencies.
For the next month, the top leaders of the BJP will hold high-energy rallies in all 119 assembly constituencies in Telangana, where elections are coming up later this year. Today, the party's top leaders met at the home of BJP leader JP Nadda and decided on this battle plan.
The BJP is worried about reports that their rival, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, or KCR, may want an early election before the BJP can get ready to fight KCR's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
After a month, the last rally will be held in Hyderabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead it.
During the campaign, the BJP will discuss how people connected to KCR's daughter K Kavitha, a BR's leader, are said to be involved in the Delhi liquor policy case.
Butchibabu Gorantla, who used to be Ms. Kavitha's chartered accountant, was recently arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for alleged corruption in making the now-defunct Delhi liquor policy with Manish Sisodia, who the CBI arrested on Sunday.
KCR said that Mr Sisodia's arrest was "an attempt to take people's attention away from the link between the Prime Minister and Adani."
Sources say that today, the BJP will review its plan to hold 11,000 street meetings across Telangana.
Amit Shah, Sunil Bansal, G Kishan Reddy, and Bandi Sanjay are some of the BJP leaders at the meeting.
Since the last assembly election, the BJP has built up its forces outside KCR's citadel. They want to get a foothold in the southern state.
