BRS will be submitting a resolution to adjourn Parliament today.
On Tuesday, BRS lawmakers filed a petition to adjourn the Parliament until the Women's Reservation Bill was introduced and passed.
Nama Nageswara Rao, leader of the BRS on the floor, moved to postpone the Lok Sabha session. Members of Parliament are seeking an all-party meeting to debate the Women's Reservation Bill in their adjournment motion.
This month's demonstration at Jantar Mantar was led by BRS party MLC Kavitha, who sat in for an entire day to call for the introduction of the Women's Reservation Bill. In New Delhi, Bharat Jagruthi, led by MLC Kavitha, hosted a round table conference at which over 15 political parties, civil society organisations, and the student population all participated.
The Bharat Jagruthi, headed by MLC Kavitha, plans to start a "Missed Call Campaign" to increase support for the Women's Reservation Bill. College and university campuses all over India will host roundtable talks to further the cause of introducing and passing the Women's Reservation Bill in tandem with the campaign.
