Bollywood Actor Injured On The Sets

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has won millions of hearts with his performance in Kabir Singh, the remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, and is currently prepping for his movie Jersey, where he is portraying the role of a cricketer.

Now, as per the latest update, he has suffered an injury on the sets of the film, in Chandigarh. Shahid got a large bruise on his mouth and has received 13 stitches.

The sources also say that when the actor was rehearsing before filming a shot, a ball unexpectedly came and, reportedly, hit him on the lower lip, thus leading to a severe lip injury.

The shoot of Jersey remake has been stopped, as the actor is on a short break. He will resume the shooting after the swelling subsides and the wound is healed

In the past, during an interview, he has said that "Jersey is a personal film. It’s a human journey and it touched me deeply. It is a very emotional film."

Jersey is all about the story of a talented but failed cricketer, who decides to return to the field in his late 30s, driven by the desire to represent the Indian cricket team, and fulfill his son’s wish for a jersey as a gift to him.
