Bollywood Bids Emotional Farewell to Veteran Actor Satish Shah
A heartfelt prayer meet for late actor Satish Shah was held on Monday at Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai, where friends, family, and film fraternity members gathered to pay tribute to the legendary actor. Shah, who passed away recently at the age of 74 due to kidney failure, left behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and unforgettable performances.
The Shraddhanjali Kriya, held between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., saw an outpouring of love and emotion. In a video that surfaced online, his wife Madhu Shah was seen deeply grief-stricken, her sorrow reflecting the immense void left by her husband’s passing. The atmosphere was filled with heartfelt remembrance as celebrities and fans united to celebrate the life of a man who brought smiles to millions.
Prominent figures including David Dhawan, Johnny Lever, Sumeet Raghavan, Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, JD Majethia, Farah Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak, Jackie Shroff, and many others attended the prayer meet and earlier funeral at Pawan Hans Crematorium.
Spanning over four decades, Satish Shah’s career remains one of the most illustrious in Indian cinema and television. From his comic brilliance in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Hum Paanch to memorable roles in blockbusters like Hum Saath Saath Hain, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Om Shanti Om, he became synonymous with humor and heart.
