British PM Theresa May wins confidence vote despite historic Brexit defeat
Soon after a historic defeat of Theresa May on Brexit deal, she had received another setback whereby she was to face a non-confidence vote. However, she survived the non-confidence vote with more than 100 lawmakers from Theresa May's party who had opposed her Brexit bill voted to support her government.
After winning a confidence vote by 325 votes to 306, Mrs. May asked the leaders of the opposition parties to meet her individually to discuss a way forward for the Brexit deal which was apparently turned down by Corbyn.
Despite a major loss of 432-202 in the Brexit deal Theresa May still won the confidence vote. With March 29, the day when Britain is to separate from EU approaching Theresa May will have to find a solution to get the deal through the parliament.
