Budget 2022 A Golmaal Budget: Kcr

After Union Finance Minister presented the Budget for 2022-23 on February 1, the Telangana government has strongly opposed the plan. Terming it a “Golmaal Budget”, CM KCR said that it has disappointed people of the Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, farmers and other minority communities.
In addition, he said that employees and the trading community were looking forward to a change in tax rates. Like last year, there were no changes to the tax slabs for individuals, and the corporate tax rates remained the same, as well. For newly incorporated manufacturing units, however, the concessional rate of 15% has been extended for 1 year.
KCR also objected to the fact that no mention of public health expenditures was made in the Budget despite the 3rd wave of COVID-19 infections.
Former MP and daughter of KCR, K Kavitha, responded to the Budget by asking whether the Union government would provide funds for the state's flagship drinking water project, 'Mission Bhagiratha.'
“CM KCR’s flagship project MissionBhagiratha is a pioneer in providing piped water to every household. @NITIAayog recommended ₹19,205Cr to Telangana 4 years ago,at least this year will the Union Govt provide the recommended funds to Telangana under ₹60,000Cr of #HarGharNalSeJal,” she wrote in a tweet.
