CBN Acquiring Disproportionate Assets Case Posted to Nov 25

A petition that charged on AP’s former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for acquiring disproportionate assets through corruption was posted to November 25, by Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) special court.
The appeal was filed by late chief minister NT Rama Rao’s wife Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvati in 2005. The AP high court had continued the proceedings before the ACB court following an appeal by Chandrababu Naidu challenging the complaint against him in the same year.
The stay has been in operation for the last 14 years and now the high court had also refused to vacate the stay when a petition was moved by Lakshmi Parvati seeking vacation of the stay. However, by the honor of a blanket order issued by the Supreme Court last year vacating stay orders in all the old cases, the stay in the current case too stood vacated for a long time.
The ACB court in Hyderabad is now preparing to record the statement of Lakshmi Parvati on November 25.
