Enhanced Pensions for Disabled Individuals: Disabled individuals will see their pensions increase from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 6,000.
Retroactive Application: The increase will be retroactively applied from April, meaning pensioners will receive a total of Rs. 7,000 in July (Rs. 3,000 for April, May, and June, plus Rs. 4,000 for July).
Program Renamed: The pension program has been renamed as NTR Bharosa in honor of the late NTR, a pioneer of the social pension system in Andhra Pradesh.
Doorstep Delivery: The increased pensions will be distributed at the pensioners' doorsteps to enhance their financial self-reliance and security.
