CM Chandrababu Visits Pawan Kalyan, Discusses Welfare Programs

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at his Hyderabad residence on Sunday to enquire about his health. Pawan has been unwell with a viral fever and is still suffering from severe cough due to chronic bronchitis. Doctors have also noted throat pain as a related complication. The CM wished him a speedy recovery and stressed the importance of self-care.
During the interaction, Pawan Kalyan thanked Naidu for successfully executing the Mega DSC recruitment drive, which provided jobs to nearly 16,000 teachers. He noted that distributing appointment letters had motivated young aspirants across the state.
The two leaders also reviewed upcoming welfare programs. On October 4, the state government will launch a scheme in Vijayawada under the banner “In Service of Auto Drivers.” This initiative aims to provide ₹15,000 annual financial support to auto drivers to balance the economic impact of the Stree Shakti Scheme, which offers free bus travel for women. Naidu emphasized that the scheme was designed to ensure fairness for both women commuters and auto drivers.
Additionally, they discussed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Andhra Pradesh on October 16. Preparations for his road show and awareness campaign on GST reforms were also reviewed.
The meeting showcased the government’s dual commitment to welfare and employment generation. It highlighted ongoing focus areas such as youth empowerment, women’s economic relief, and the financial stability of working-class groups. With both the CM and Deputy CM aligning on key initiatives, the leadership is signaling a broader vision for inclusive governance that prioritizes balance between social welfare and sustainable livelihoods.
